That ratio is the single most important thing a candidate should understand: about five of every seven GNM seats in Bihar are in private colleges. Government seats are genuinely few, and they are taken by the very top of the merit list — see the real 2026 closing ranks.
Every figure here is from the official BCECEB documents for DCECE(PM)–2026 — the prospectus seat annexures (3.1C government, 3.1D private) and the published First Round rank list, with the Round 1 allotment dated 11 August 2026. The prospectus itself states that seat numbers are shown on the previous year's basis and may change at counselling, that disability-quota seats are counted inside each institute's total rather than added to it, and that admission proceeds only after recognition from the Indian Nursing Council. Private colleges are listed in the prospectus with a single seat total each rather than a category-wise split, which is why the private annexure shows one number per college.

In the private GNM annexure of the same prospectus, Chanchal Suman Nursing College, Phulwariya, Mahua, Vaishali is listed with 30 GNM seats through DCECE counselling. Private colleges in the list carry intakes of 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 or 60 seats.
The college is BNRC approved, trains students across a 230+ bed hospital network including government postings at NMCH Patna (approval documents published here), and publishes its fees year-wise with no hidden costs.
