The GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) diploma at Chanchal Suman Nursing College is a three-year, practice-heavy program approved by the Bihar Nurses Registration Council (BNRC). Under the INC baseline, applicants need 10+2 with English and at least 40%; Arts, Commerce and Science candidates may be eligible, with Science preferable. Daily Hospital Practice
GNM is a hands-on profession, so from early in the course students take clinical postings at our 100-bed parent hospital and seven affiliated hospitals — with government postings at NMCH Patna, Sadar Hospital Hajipur and PHC Mahua under Bihar Health Directorate permission — practising patient care, injections, dressings, maternity care and ward management under supervision.
