| One group | ₹ 750 | ₹ 480 |
| Two groups | ₹ 850 | ₹ 530 |
| All three groups | ₹ 950 | ₹ 630 |
This is the examination and counselling fee payable to BCECEB. It is not a college fee. CSNC's own fees are published year-wise here.
The Five Steps of the Application
The BCECEB portal takes you through the form in stages: registration (your mobile number and email are verified with a code, and you receive a registration number and password), the multi-step form (course group, personal information, contact details, educational information, then photo and signature upload), preview and final submit, fee payment, and finally downloading your confirmation page and fee receipt. Keep the confirmation page and receipt safely — you will need them later.
Counselling and Seat Allotment
After the result you take part in counselling: registration for counselling → choice filling → choice locking → seat allotment → reporting to the allotted college for document verification, medical fitness check and fee payment. Counselling runs in rounds, and seats left vacant flow into the later rounds and finally a mop-up round.
One thing candidates rarely have explained to them: the allotment list shows how each seat was charged — “against UR seat” when you got it on open merit, “jump over” when you moved onto your own category's seat, or a “compensation seat”. That is why two candidates with similar ranks can end up at different colleges.
Reservation Applied in Bihar Counselling
| Category | Share of seats |
| Unreserved (UR) | 40% |
| Extremely Backward Class (EBC) | 18% |
| Scheduled Caste (SC) | 16% |
| Backward Class (BC) | 12% |
| Economically Weaker Section (EWS) | 10% |
| Reserved Category Girls (RCG) | 3% |
| Scheduled Tribe (ST) | 1% |
In addition, 5% of seats are reserved for Divyang (disability) candidates certified with at least 40% disability — counted inside the total seats, not over and above — and a servicemen quota (SMQ) applies where the prescribed certificate is produced.
