Is Chanchal Suman Nursing College government approved?
Yes. The college is approved by the Bihar Nurses Registration Council (BNRC), and the B.Sc Nursing program is affiliated to Bihar University of Health Sciences (BUHS), Patna.
Which nursing courses are offered?
GNM (3-year diploma, 60 seats) and B.Sc Nursing (4-year degree, 60 seats). Details are on the GNM and B.Sc Nursing pages of this website.
What are the total fees?
GNM: ₹5,50,000 for 3 years (₹2,00,000 first year, then ₹1,75,000 per year). B.Sc Nursing: ₹7,00,000 for 4 years (₹2,45,000 first year). Both are all-inclusive with no hidden costs — year-wise tables are on the course pages.
Can I use the Bihar Student Credit Card to pay fees?
Yes, eligible students can avail up to ₹4 lakh under the BSCC scheme. Important: BSCC is a loan, not a scholarship — it must be repaid as per the scheme's terms. Our facilitation desk helps with the application.
Is hostel available?
Yes, on-campus hostel accommodation with mess and warden supervision is available — most outstation students opt for it.
Where exactly is the college located?
Fulwariya, State Highway, Near Gas Agency, Mahua, Vaishali district, Bihar 844122 — about 35 km from Hajipur and 60 km from Patna.
Do students get real hospital training?
Yes. Students train at our 100-bed parent hospital and seven affiliated hospitals (130 beds), and the college holds Bihar Health Directorate permission (order dated 27.12.2024) for postings at government hospitals — NMCH Patna, Sadar Hospital Hajipur, Referral Hospital Chhapra (Vaishali), Sub-Divisional Hospital Mahua, PHC Mahua and the Institute of Mental Health and Allied Sciences, Koilwar. Can students from other districts of Bihar take admission?
Absolutely. Students join us from Patna, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Begusarai and across Bihar. See the Districts page for a travel guide from your district.
12th Arts se GNM ho sakta hai? (Can Arts students do GNM?)
Arts, Commerce and Science candidates may be eligible. INC requires 10+2 with English and at least 40%; Science is preferable. Confirm the current notification.
What is the difference between GNM and B.Sc Nursing?
GNM is a 3-year diploma requiring 10+2 with English and the prescribed marks; B.Sc Nursing is a 4-year university degree requiring 12th with Biology, with wider government-job and higher-study options. Both lead to registration as a nurse.
