First, an Honest Answer
Thousands of students in Bihar search for the best nursing college in Bihar every year, and almost every page they find gives them a numbered list. We are not going to do that, for a simple reason: there is no official ranking of nursing colleges in Bihar. The Indian Nursing Council and the Bihar Nurses Registration Council approve colleges — they do not rank them. Most "Top 10" lists you will find are published by lead-generation portals, and a place on the list is often paid for.
So instead of telling you who is best, this page gives you the seven checks that separate a genuine nursing college from an expensive mistake — and then answers all seven for ourselves, so you can hold us to the same standard.
The Seven Checks
| # | What to check | A good answer looks like | 🚩 Walk away if |
| 1 | BNRC approval | Current approval letter, shown on request or published online | "It is under process" · expired papers · refusal to show |
| 2 | University affiliation (B.Sc) | Named university — in Bihar, usually BUHS Patna | Vague claims of being "recognised" with no university named |
| 3 | Hospital for clinical training | Named hospital, bed count, weekly posting schedule | No hospital named, or "we arrange it later" |
| 4 | Faculty | Qualified nursing tutors you can meet on your visit | Nobody available to meet · no names given |
| 5 | Skill labs | Labs you are shown, with equipment in use | Locked rooms · "under renovation" on every visit |
| 6 | Written year-wise fees | A printed year-by-year breakdown with what is included | A single total quoted verbally · "extras" appearing later · donation asked |
| 7 | Hostel and safety | Hostel you can inspect, warden, mess arrangements | Hostel "nearby" but never shown |
Take this table with you when you visit any college — including ours. A college that objects to being asked these questions has told you something important.

Government or Private?
Before comparing private colleges at all, it is worth understanding how the government option differs — the fees, the number of seats, and the rank you would need. We have written that comparison honestly on a separate page: Government vs Private Nursing College in Bihar.
